About the Role
Research & Development Engineer
Join an innovative and growing medical device company based in Munich focused on the minimally invasive treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Our client is seeking a technically proficient, motivated R&D Engineer to strengthen their Research & Development team. This role involves direct work with advanced medical devices, contributing to the entire development lifecycle from initial concept through to commercialization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks.
- Conduct and oversee various testing protocols, including simulations, and analyze results to inform design adjustments, ensuring product reliability and safety.
- Participate in verification and validation processes, maintaining detailed records of design processes and test results.
- Coordinate with suppliers and troubleshoot manufacturing issues to align production with design specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards throughout all design and development activities.
- Travel when necessary to work with external manufacturers, ensuring seamless integration of the delivery system.
- Degree in Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in the medical device industry within Research & Development.
- Proven experience in the design and development of medical devices from concept to commercialization.
- Familiarity with catheter and delivery systems.
- Experienced in SolidWorks and test method development and report writing.
- Strong proficiency in English and effective communication skills.
